from 1995. This is a U.S.
government designated cultural exchange program which
has been available to Asian au pairs who qualify and
will give Asian youth the chance to experience life
in the United States
from the inside!!
The program offers you:
· Weekly payment of US$ 140-$ 200
· Legal J-1 visa and free return flight to the USA
· An arrival orientation at a gateway city such as New
York, San Francisco or Wasdhington,
DC
· US$ 500 study allowance
· Health and Accident insurance
· Carefully screened host family
· 2 weeks paid vacation and optional one month travel
opportunity
· Local support from a trained Community Counselor in
the U.S.A.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Aged 18-26
· Have at least 200 hours recent, practical childcare
experience (experience with relatives and family cannot
be used)
· Hold a valid driving license
· Not have a criminal record
· Agree to the program rules
· Speak English to a TOEFL 500+/IELTS band 5+ level
· Agree to a full year commitment
· Have completed at least secondary level education
· Have strong family/financial/personal ties to your
home country
· Be a non-smoker
PROGRAMS FEES-TO BE PAID BY PARTICIPANTS:
APPLICATION FEE (non-refundable) US$125 (includes cross-cultural
orientation course)
For
nurses, early childhood educators, nurse students
and students studying early childhood education the
fees are waived (FREE).
BOND (returned on program completion) US $ 500
